Tho­mas Münt­zer (auch Mün­zer; * um 1489 in Stol­berg, Graf­schaft Stol­berg; † 27. Mai 1525 bei Mühl­hau­sen, Freie Reichs­stadt) war ein Theo­lo­ge, Refor­ma­tor und Revo­lu­tio­när in der Zeit des Bau­ern­krie­ges. Er wur­de nach der ver­lo­re­nen Schlacht bei Fran­ken­hau­sen enthauptet.
Tho­mas Münt­zer (also spel­led Mün­zer; birth ca. 1489 in Stol­berg in the Coun­ty of Stol­berg, Coun­ty of Stol­berg; died on May 27, 1525, near Mühl­hau­sen, Free Impe­ri­al City) was a theo­lo­gi­an, refor­mer, and revo­lu­tio­na­ry during the time of the Peasants‘ War. After the decisi­ve defeat of the peasants’ upri­sing at the batt­le of Fran­ken­hau­sen, he was beheaded.
